Denon compatibility
An iPhone remote for the AVR-X3800H.
Updated 11 October 2026 · Sotto 1.0.11
Sotto includes a verified profile for the Denon AVR-X3800H and its AVC-X3800H counterpart. Control the main zone and Zone 2, save scenes, and use Siri Shortcuts or Control Center on the same local network.
What you can control
| Area | Available controls |
|---|---|
| Main zone | Power, input selection, mute and variable volume. |
| Zone 2 | Separate power, input, mute and variable volume, subject to the receiver’s source and zone configuration. |
| Sound | Sound-mode selection and supported Audyssey controls. Dirac filter-slot controls depend on receiver firmware, licensing and installed filters. |
| HEOS | Now-playing and supported transport controls. Use HEOS itself for music-service browsing and multiroom management. |
| Everyday routines | Scenes, Siri Shortcuts and Control Center controls. |
Connect it
- Connect the receiver to your home router by Wi-Fi or Ethernet, and put your iPhone on the same local network.
- Allow Sotto’s Local Network permission.
- Use receiver discovery in Sotto, or enter the IP shown in the receiver’s network information. Use Test Connection.
- For control in standby, set Network Control to Always On on the receiver. This increases standby power consumption.
See the manufacturer’s standby network-control instructions and our connection checklist.
What a verified profile means
Sotto’s profile was built from a real receiver snapshot and identifies its two zones and supported control surfaces. It is not a guarantee that every input can feed Zone 2 or that every firmware configuration exposes the same sound controls. There is no Zone 3 in this profile.
Sotto does not perform Audyssey measurements, buy a Dirac license or upload room-correction filters. Use the manufacturer’s calibration tools for those tasks.
